Our Menu

All our food is cooked fresh, using the best daily ingredients, so changes often.

Opening Hours from 16 April 2021 - table service outside only

  • Fridays and Saturdays: 11.00 - 15.00 and 18.00 - 22.00    Food orders 12.00 -14.00 and 18.00 - 20.30

  • Sundays: 12.00 - 16.00    Food orders 12.00 - 15.00

  • Menu also available as takeaway, we recommend you call to order before 17.00 on the day to avoid delay (or even worse, disappointment if the kitchen is flat out).  Last collection 21.00 on Fridays & Saturdays, 15.30 on Sundays.

  • To book a table or takeaway please call the pub on 01752 837289

  • On Friday and Saturday last orders will be at 2100 and all customers must be clear of the outside seating area by 2200.  We are sorry to limit people’s fun but this is a condition of our licence.

These are the rules that our staff and customers must follow, they are here to protect us all so please help keep everyone safe by doing your bit.

  • When you arrive a member of staff will direct you to your table.  If you are collecting a takeaway you should go to the rear entrance of the Pub where the team will take payment and deliver your food order.

  • Track and Trace:  All customers seated outside are required by law to comply with the new track and trace regulations.  If you refuse to comply we cannot serve you as we will be liable to a fine of £1,000 for the first offence to £10,000 for the third!

    • Once seated you will be invited to register, either by scanning the QR code at your table or giving your name and contact details to a member of our team.

    • Everyone over 16 has to register their details individually (this is a change to the previous regulations that only required one person per group)

    • Take-away customers do not need to register.

  • Table service only:  Orders will be taken at your table and you must consume what you order at your table with your party – no mingling with other customers is permitted.  A full menu and drinks list will be on each table.

  • Alcohol can be served with no requirement for a “substantial meal” so you can pop in for a quick pint again.

  • Rule of 6 or 2 Households: Each table can have a group of no more than 6 from mixed households or 2 households (no limit on numbers – for example two families, each of 2 adults and 3 children can make up a table of 10).

  • Payment: by card whenever possible please

  • Toilets:  will be available for use by patrons with the same rules as when we were open in December:

    • A facemask must be worn when walking through the pub (unless you are exempt from wearing a face mask)

    • Please sanitise your hands before entering and on leaving the building.

    • In and out as quickly as possible.

    • Only one person at a time in each toilet.

Dartmoor Dining

Head Chef at the Cornwood Inn, Conrad Mitchell, has more than 38 years' experience as a chef, working internationally in a range of setting, including Michelin-starred venues (and earning his own Michelin star at Casa Tegoyo in Lanzarote).

For the last few years, having returned to the UK, Conrad has been deploying that experience in a pub setting, which is where his food ethos now sits.

This unique blend of high-end experience and solid pub-trade knowledge means we can offer you decent, affordable pub food, done properly.  Every dish at the Cornwood Inn is prepared to order.

And if you fancy something a bit more special, we've got that covered too.  You can check out the current menu here.
